Ethereum Classic is a secure, censorproof, reliable, public, trustless and decentralized podium for running applications.

For this guide wij’re going to assume you’re using Google Chrome, spil it’s the most secure web browser and the simpliest option for managing your Ethereum Classic coins.
So if you don’t have it already, download and install it from here, even if it’s just to manage your Ethereum Classic wallet.
Click the ‘ADD TO CHROME’ button on the top right.
A pop-up will ask you if you’d like to ‘Add ClassicEtherWallet CX’. Click ‘Add app’ to confirm.
The Ethereum Classic wallet has now bot added to your browser.
Click the fresh Ethereum Classic app icon that emerges on your Chrome toolbar.
Te the speelpop up that opens click ‘Add wallet’.
Select ‘Generate Fresh Wallet’
Give the wallet an evident nickname (for example, ‘My Ether Classic wallet’
Inject a password that would be hard to guess (but which you won’t leave behind!).
Note: if you leave behind this password you can possibly lose access to your coins.
Click the ‘GENERATE’ button.
Click ‘My wallets’ from the menukaart across the top of the pagina.
You will now see your fresh wallet and it’s unique ‘wallet address’ (a long string of numbers and letters). Copy this address down somewhere safe spil wij’ll need it soon.
Before wij do anything else, let’s back up this wallet so you don’t lose access. Click the eyeball icon underneath ‘View’.
Ter the popup that opens input your password and press ‘view wallet details’.
Here are all the significant details about your wallet.
Ter the opbergruimte labelled ‘Private Key (unencrypted)’ is a powerful unencrypted private key to your wallet (it’s a way of opening your wallet without knowing the password). If you choose to copy this down make sure it’s somewhere safe and private- and be warned, if anyone gets access to it they can get access to your coins.
Click the ‘Download’ button underneath ‘Keystore/JSON Verkeersopstopping’. This will download your wallet opstopping to your laptop. This opstopping can be used to open your wallet from any pc but it still requires the password to open it (unlike the private key).
It’s very significant that you back this verkeersopstopping up somewhere safe (think numerous outer hard drives and/or USB drives that you waterput somewhere safe).
Now wij’ll purchase the popular cryptocurrency Ethereum, so that wij can exchange it for Ethereum Classic (if you already own Ethereum you can skip ahead).
